The Writers

Here are the people who write for Thinking Through Christianity (in alphabetical order):




Dr. Mark Boone is a college professor with degrees in philosophy and Biblical studies.  He has been published for his work on Plato and has made presentations at conferences about ancient and modern philosophers.









Christine Hand has a degree in music business and a master's degree in literature, and she is currently doing graduate research on Bob Dylan and the music of the 60s.  She is also a Dallas area singer/songwriter; her music website can be found at ChristineHand.com







JoAnna Hoyt received a Th.M. for her work in Hebrew studies.  She teaches Hebrew and has gone on archaeological digs in Israel, and JoAnna is currently furthering her research by studying ancient Hebrew linguistics.







Thomas Ladd is a music minister and songwriter.  He holds a M.A. in U.S. history, and his research interests focus on the relationship between education and identity formation.






Renea McKenzie earned a Masters' degree for her studies in literature and is a writer/administrator for Probe Ministries.  She also writes regularly at her website, ReneaMac.com, where she answers difficult questions from her readers and probes other deep issues of life and the arts.









Natalie Stilwell has an M.A. in theology -  a subject she teaches, as well.  She has written for First Things Publications on subjects of sexuality and social issues, and she has spoken on the subject of theology at conferences and events around the nation.






Bethany Sundstrom holds a Master's Degree in Theology (Th.M) with a focus in Media Arts.  She has a background in journalism, marketing, and making lattes.  She lives in Portland and currently focuses her research in  technology, sustainability, and the theology of singleness.






Adam Jones (editor) is a licensed minster who does graduate research on medieval Christianity.  He has read papers on medieval monastic approaches at many conferences around the country, and he blogs regularly at his other site - Time To Ramble On.
